Big ideas and great focus was established.
Meeting Minutes are as follows:
1. Decision to object new website for now and just remain using current one. SS income should go toward photography equipment to start a workshop, rather than a new website at this time.
2. Suggestions to add pictures/gallery to current website, and ensure “tags” leads to more traffic.
2. Email sent to Global Awareness Project, an org increasing awareness for non-profit orgs in the myrtle beach area.
3. Contact Teach My People, an after-school program for at-risk kids, to start SS’s first workshop!
4. … and a PHOTO CONTEST is in the oven! Yep, I believe an awesome fundraising tool can be right in my own belt! I’m not much of an HR gal and i’m not that into planning fundraising events… (yes, i know, i have a lot to learn since i’ve started a non-profit! ha) … but I can surely run a photo contest, i thought. So, keep an eye out -as we are nailing down the fine details of how to legally conduct this contest.
